MADO Fusion restaurant comes as a special space that brings Asian culture to a European city like Tirana.
The main challenge of the projects was to create an interior inspired by the Japanese materials, culture and style while respecting the client’s requirements and preserving some of the existing elements of the site where the new restaurant will be designed.
Simple yet elegant was the ambience that we aimed to create, where everyone would feel relaxed and welcomed.Traditional Japanese design is comes along with a modern approach, just as the term itself Fusion.
MADO is to be divided into two spaces where one serves as a bar with tables and chairs, while the other space serves the restaurant.
The designed furniture which serve also in the outdoors, were precisely selected to create the feeling of being outside while you are in the restaurant.
Meanwhile the greenery aquarium create an environment associated with nature.
The most alluring and representative component of this project are the white plexiglass sheets, that emerge from the ceiling in different rectangular sizes, overlapping they come as an lighting element by creating so a pleasing and inviting atmosphere.
Between the selected materials, neutral and dark colors are dominant in order to create an relaxed and calm ambiance. Precisely the presence of natural elements with a strong character like wood or metal, determine the warmth of the space. Constructive vertical elements are easily recognizable as they are covered with bamboo, chosen precisely because of its strength and part of the Asiatic tradition.
“Red window” is the element of this project that we are very fond of.
Inspired by the rich history of Japanese symbolism in art, gardening and poetry, we decided to bring, its red as an element of calm and balance. In this space with neutral and masculine lines, the admired view of beauty and rich in color, represents the feminine.
The indirect and warm lighting, the wood finishing, the presence of greenery and that of other textures used, create the right environment to “transport” you to the far east.
